AwakeTap app is designed with a strong focus on privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when you use the app.
1. Overview
AwakeTap is a local-first application.
- Most data is stored only on your device
- No account is required
- No personal data is collected automatically
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The app stores the following data locally on your device:
- tap counts
- timestamps of taps (if used)
- optional user-created data (e.g., notes or tags, if applicable)
This data is not automatically transmitted to us.
3. Anonymous Feedback (Free & Plus)
AwakeTap allows users to send anonymous feedback.
When you use this feature:
- You do not need to provide your name or email
- No account is required
- Only the message you type is sent
- No personal data is intentionally collected
The feedback is processed through a backend service and stored without identifying information.
4. Optional Email Support (Pro Version)
In the Pro version, users may optionally contact support via email. This is completely optional and separate from anonymous feedback.
If you choose to send an email:
- Your email address will be visible to us
- Any information you include in your message is shared voluntarily
We recommend not sending sensitive personal information.
5. Data Sharing
We do not:
- sell your data
- share your personal data with third parties for marketing
- track you across apps or services
6. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect data received through feedback or email.
However, no system is 100% secure, and you should avoid sharing sensitive information.
7. Children’s Privacy
AwakeTap does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Your Control
You are in control of your data:
- You can delete the app to remove local data
- You decide whether to send feedback
- You decide whether to contact us via email
